Siv Ngesi is a South African actor, comedian, presenter, and producer. He is well known for his work on several television shows and films.

Ngesi was born on 18th October 1985 in Gugulethu, east of Cape Town to a Xhosa family. He has three siblings and was raised in Gugulethu before his family moved to Langa and later Pinelands. His mother Jacqueline worked as a school principal. Ngesi lost his father in a car accident in 2004.
Ngesi attended Pinelands High School and later trained at the Waterfront Theatre School and Jazzart Dance Theatre.

Siv Ngesi started his acting career as a child, portraying Gavroche in Les Misérables on tour in Asia. He also featured in a piece from the musical for Nelson Mandela. Ngesi started his television appearance in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Zenon: Z3” and then in a feature film “The World Unseen”. Ngesi starred in 24: Redemption. He also played minor roles in the Nelson Mandela and Francois Pienaar biopic Invictus.
Ngesi started a one-man comedy show DeKaf for three years at the National Arts Festival before taking the show on a national tour. He featured alongside Rob van Vuuren in the 2012 crime comedy film Copposites. Later, Ngesi, van Vuuren, and Danielle Bischoff created the children’s book series Florence & Watson as well as its accompanying stage show.
Siv Ngesi competed with his dance partner Marcella Solimeo in the seventh season of Strictly Come Dancing, coming fifth in the competition in 2014.
In 2015, the actor started hosting the magazine show The Man Cave and in 2016, he started hosting and producing the reality cooking competition show Jou Ma se Chef.
Siv Ngesi played a recurring role in the third season of the Starz historical adventure series Black Sails. In 2017, he produced 14 shows at the National Arts Festival. He created and started performing under the drag persona Sivanna in 2021. He hosted the Cape Town Drag Brunch that year.
Ngesi joined the cast of the Showmax comedy Tali’s Baby Diary for its second season and also the Netflix drama Jiva.
It was announced in January 2022 that Ngesi will be joining the cast of the new film The Woman King directed by Gina Prince Bythewood and produced by Viola Davis.
