Biography of Taiwo Hassan
Taiwo was born in Ilaro, a town in Ogun state on the 31st of October in 1959. He is the son of the late Mr. Subair Akande Taiwo and his mum’s name is Alimot Taiwo. Taiwo has a twin brother Kehinde Hassan, so do his father and grandfather.
Taiwo is one of the most intelligent actors in Nigeria; he attended and completed his primary school education at Christ Church School, Ilaro, and his secondary education at Gazikia College in Lagos. However, due to a lack of available funds and some financial constraints, Taiwo could not complete his secondary school studies. He instead went to train as an automobile mechanic at Yaba Technical School located in Lagos.
He ventured into acting at an advanced stage of his life and in 1981 he started learning how to become a professional actor under the mentorship of Awo Ademola Fagbemi.
He did not start acting officially until after his 13 years career working at Water Corporation as an auto-mechanic. He started acting full-time after resigned his government job to give acting his full concentration.
