Lashana Lynch is a British actress. She is most popularly known for her performance as Rosaline Capulet in the ABC period drama series Still Star-Crossed, and as Maria Rambeau in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films “Captain Marvel” and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Lashana Lynch was born on 27 November 1987 in Hammersmith, London. She is originally from Jamaica.
Lynch studied at Twyford CofE High School and ArtsEd drama school in London respectively.
Career
Her on-screen debut was in 2007 when she played a minor role in an episode of “The Bill”. She appeared in her first film role in the 2012 drama film “Fast Girls”, a production shown at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. In 2016, she featured as the leading character Rosaline Capulet in the American epic drama series “Still Star-Crossed”, produced by the famous producer Shonda Rhimes. In 2018, she was featured in the pilot episode of “ Y: The Last Man”.
Lynch portrayed Maria Rambeau in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Captain Marvel”. She was also part of the cast of the British science fiction comedy “The Intergalactic Adventures”. In 2021, she portrayed the character Nomi, the 007 agent, in the James Bond film franchise entry “No Time to Die”, which made international headlines as she is the first woman to play 007.
In 2022, Lynch returned to play her role as Maria Rambeau’s character from Captain Marvel in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Also in 2022, she played the role of Izogie in the epic drama “The Woman King” alongside Viola Davis and John Boyega.
