Efa Iwara is a Nigerian entertainer, rapper, and actor. He is a Nollywood actor who started as a singer. He was born on the 20th of August 1990, Ibadan Oyo State Nigeria. His father is a retired professor of Linguistics at the famous University of Ibadan and his mother is a Liberian at the same university. Efa Iwara is from Ugep, a place in the southern part of Cross Rivers State. He is a football fanatic and a diehard Arsenal FC fan.

His primary education was at the University Staff School, after that, he proceeded for his secondary education at the International School, Ibadan (ISI). He went further to complete his tertiary education at the University of Ibadan, he studied and graduated with a degree in Geography.

Efa Iwara noticed that he had a passion for rap at a very young age, he wrote his first verse at the age of 9. He and his 3 friends which includes DJ Klem while at the University of Ibadan formed a group which they called X-Factor. The music group didn’t last and they all headed in different directions which made them split up.
Things became so bad for Efa after the group disbanded, shortly after that, he lost his sister in 2007. Things went from bad to worst, his music career was falling apart as he mourned. The loss made him disconnect from the creative world and he nearly gave up on his musical carrier until his friend has to reignite his passion for music and made him return back to the studio.
Efa continued his music writing and recording with one of his former group members DJ Klem. They recorded “Kwenu” together. Efa decided to check his singing skills, he enrolled in the “Peak Talent Show” in Ibadan where he was one of the final six, he is the only rapper to have achieved that feat.
Efa stated that his mentors in the entertainment industry are MI, NaetoC and Tu face. For the acting profession, he revealed that the Veteran actor Pete Edochie is his mentor.
In 2011 he released his debut album. He made some single releases and remixes from the summer of 2010 to reintroduce himself to the Nigerian market.
