Amamkele Lithemba Qamata is a South African actress. She is particularly known for her roles as Buhle Ndaba in the Mzansi Magic series Gomora and Puleng Khumalo in the Netflix young adult series Blood & Water.

Qamata was born on 2nd September 1998 in the Eastern Cape village of Cala in the Sakhisizwe Local Municipality. When she was three years old her family moved to Johannesburg.
Qamata found out about her love for acting through school productions and made her first appearance on screen in advertisements.
In 2016 she got admitted to Reddam House Bedfordview, Qamata then took a gap year and later enrolled at the University of Cape Town to study Theatre and Performance she sadly withdrew from the university in her second year.

Qamata made her acting debut at age seventeen by portraying Naledi in the situation comedy My Perfect Family on SABC1. In 2020 she joined the cast of Gomora playing the character of Buhle in the Mzansi Magic series. That same year, Qamata featured in Netflix’s Blood & Water, playing Puleng; a character trying to prove that a successful swimmer from a private school is her sister that was abducted at birth.
Kutlwano Ditsele, the casting director for Blood & Water, is also the executive producer on Gomora, he invited Qamata to audition for Gomora and she successfully joined the cast in 2020 as well. Qamata was also featured in Rhythm City and Commandos: The Mission.
