Her father was from Copenhagen, Denmark. Her paternal grandfather, Ejner Johansson, was an art historian, screenwriter, and film director, of Swedish descent. Johansson from her maternal side is of Polish and Russian descent. She has other siblings besides her twin brother; an older sister Venessa and an older brother Adrian.
