Gabriel Afolayan is the son of the veteran Nigerian Nollywood actor Adeyemi Afolayan, famously known as Adelove. The award-winning actor and singer is from Igbomina Kwara State, Nigeria. Gabriel was born on the 1st of March 1985 at Island Maternity in Lagos Island, however, he grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Gabriel Afolayan has 3 siblings, in which they all followed their father’s footsteps. His siblings are Aremu Afolayan, his brother who is also an actor, Kunle Afolayan, his brother who is a movie producer and director, and his sister Moji who is an actress, film director, and producer.

He started acting in the year 1990, his first movie was the Baba Sala “F Opawon”.
