Nse Ikpe-Etim is a Nigerian entertainer, she is a very popular Nollywood actress, television personality, a self-proclaimed foodie, an enthusiastic gamer, an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist.
Nse Ikpe-Etim was born on the 21st of October 1974 in Lagos State. She is the first child from a family of six. She is originally from Akwa Ibom state, the southern part of Nigeria, but the famous Nollywood actress was born and brought up in Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria.

Nse Ikpe-Etim attended Awa Nursery School and Command Primary School Kaduna, located in the Northern part of Nigeria.
After she was done with her primary school, she was enrolled by her parents at St Louis College, Jos. She schooled there for a while before she was moved on to the Federal Government College in Jos and later on to Ilorin, Kwara State where she finally completed her secondary school education.
Nse Etim attended different schools because her father worked with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and was often transferred to different parts of the country.
She proceeded to the University of Calabar in Cross Rivers State where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Arts.

Nse Ikpe-Etim started acting at the age of 18 while she was in the university. Her first appearance on the TV was when she featured in the family soap “Inheritance”. She didn’t just go full-time into the movie industry once she was done with school, she worked in the banking industry, radio, and television stations.
Nse Etim’s first movie was in 2003 when she joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood). The first movies are Emotional Crack and Venom of Justice.
She joined the movie industry fully in 2007 and became popular in 2008, with Emem Isong’s Reloaded, the movie also featured Nollywood stars such Ramsey Nouah, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo, and Desmond Elliot.
She won the award of Best Actress in a Drama at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role as Nse in the Nollywood blockbuster movie Journey to self.

Nse Ikpe-Etim Marriage
Nse Ikpe-Etim is currently married, she got married to her childhood friend Clifford Sule on the 14th of February 2013. Her traditional marriage ceremony was held in her hometown in Akwa Ibom State and the white wedding took place in Lagos State, Nigeria.
She currently lives with her husband in London, who is a Lecturer at Middlesex University in London, United Kingdom. She does visits Nigeria whenever she has a movie to shoot.
Nse Ikpe-Etim does not have a child. The actress granted an interview where she reveals she was diagnosed with Adenomyosis, a complication that makes one incapable of becoming pregnant.
Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus (the endometrium) breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus (the myometrium). Adenomyosis can cause menstrual cramps, lower abdominal pressure, and bloating before menstrual periods and can result in heavy periods.
In her statement below, she said
” I was told I couldn’t have kids. And so, I had to have a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) to make me have a life again and to stop going through what I was going through.
“And I’m literally telling women and men, it really doesn’t matter if you can’t bear children.
‘What really matters is what you would do for the world, for the universe.”
