Kivanc Tatlitug was born on October 27, 1983, in Adana, Turkey. He attended Yenice Çağ Private High School. His father was sick and his family moved to Istanbul for proper treatment, while in Istanbul, he played professional basketball for U18 club teams including Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Ülkerspor, “Fiskobirlik”, “Güney Sanayi”, “Çukurova Kulübü”, “Devlet Su İşleri” and “Tarsus Amerikan Kulübü” as a result of a dislocated leg, he stopped playing basketball.
Kivanc Tatlitug Career
Tatlitug initially started his career as a model in 2002, winning the Best Model of Turkey contest. He then moved on to acting, making his debut in the TV series “Gumus” (Noor), which became a huge success in Turkey and across the Middle East. He played the lead role of Mehmet Sadoglu in the series, and his performance was widely acclaimed, earning him the Best Actor award at the 2005 Istanbul International Film Festival.
After the success of “Gumus,” Tatlitug went on to star in several other TV series, including “Menekse and Halil,” “Aci Hayat” (Bitter Life), “Ask-i Memnu” (Forbidden Love), and “Kuzey Guney” (North-South).
