The veteran actor was born on the 21st of March in a military hospital located at Yaba, Lagos Nigeria. His birth is unknown. Keppy Ekpeyoung father Dr (Col) Inyang was the commanding officer of the hospital at the time of his birth. His mom is Mrs E.E. Bassey Inyang. Keppy is the third child from a family of 6.

Keppy Ekpeyomg had all his studies in Nigeria, his primary education was at the Corona School, Victoria Island Lagos State while his secondary school education was at Government College, Ojo, Lagos State.
The veteran actor also went to the Federal School of Arts and Science located at Victoria Island, Lagos State before going further to the University of Calabar, Cross River where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics. While in UNICAL as an undergraduate, he contested and won the first-ever Mr UNICAL.
The veteran actor didn’t stop there, in 1982, he went to the University of Lagos where he bagged a Masters Degree in International Law and Diplomacy.

His acting career started during his one-year service, The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which is a mandatory one-year service for all Nigerian graduates. He was posted at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) channel news television station. Keppy Ekpeyong worked as an intern under the supervision of Nigerian ace director; Tade Ogidan in the Programmes Department. The veteran actor was trained and took part in drama, scriptwriting, presenting, and producing from 1987 to 1988.
Immediately after his service to his father’s land, Keppy was featured in Nigerian soap named “Ripples”. Keppy was the lead actor in the TV series. He moved from TV series to home videos immediately after the Nigerian movie industry began to make waves. He was among the producers who produced “Unforgiven” Sin in 1993.
