Toni Tones whose real name is Gbemi Anthonia Adefuye is a professional Nollywood actress, Nigerian media personality, and photographer. She gained so much fame for her numerous outstanding performances in Nollywood and she is currently one of the most decorated actresses in Nigeria.

Toni Tones, born on July 20, 1985, is the last child of a family of 5 children. And her hobbies include swimming and relaxing, reading books, watching her movies, and hanging out with others.

Her Educational Background

Her early education was in Lagos where she completed her primary and secondary education at Queens College, she later moved to the U.K. where she completed a bachelor’s degree program in Marketing and Economics at the University of Lancaster. With the burning passion to pursue a career in acting, she went on to improve her acting skills at the Relativity Film School in Los Angeles.

Her Career

With the enormous success, Toni has enjoyed in her acting career, anyone could easily conclude that her first choice for a career was becoming an actress, but that is not the case. She had developed a passion for photography towards the end of her studies in the U.K. during that period, she had a mentor in London who coached her in photography for three months before returning to Nigeria in the year 2009.

Returning to Nigeria, she pursued a career as a photographer drawing inspiration from her brother who was a musician with the Oxygen band. Toni became more of a fashion and entertainment photographer and her talents in photography soon attracted the attention of the D’banj reality show, ‘Koko Mansion’

Working with Koko Mansion brought her to the limelight from there she enjoyed a blissful three years photography career working with different magazines like Genevieve, FAB, MADE, Sound City, Vanguard’s Allure, e.t.c. Also, she worked with personalities like Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Banky W, Wizkid, Omawumi, Waje, etc.

Toni, knowing she had a more creative side than she was revealing, decided to explore her other talents. Among many other things, Toni loved to sing a lot and she often considered singing as one of her hobbies. In 2011, she began flexing her talents in music, and soon after she started working on her songs. She officially ventured into the music industry in 2013 where she released some of her songs such as “I Know What You Like”, “Hey Boy”, “Aba”, “Gidi Life”, Shemilese, etc.

Being so multi-talented, Toni also began acting and soon got her first role in the Gidi Culture TV series on her first audition. Her acting career soon kicked-off kicked-off immediately and in no time she stared in the MNET’s hit series Telenovela, Forbidden, then The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, Lara, and the Beat, e.t.c.
